Classes

I teach Dynamic Hatha Flow, Power Yoga and Yin Yoga to students of all levels focusing greatly on alignment and movement with the breath. My teaching is kind and encouraging, helping you to connect with body and mind. Expect hands on adjustments to enable you to move deeper into the pose, modifications for injuries and variations to enable you to take your practice further. Yoga is for everyone and it’s never too late to start.

 

What to expect in my classes

My group classes include pranayama (breathing), centering, limbering, sun salutations, asanas (postures) and of course, relaxation and maybe even a head massage!  My private and one to one classes are adapted to suit your needs. It’s your yoga, your practice, so you choose whether you want slow and gentle or dynamic and challenging.

 

Wear loose, comfortable clothing or gym wear.  Heavy meals to be eaten 3 hours before, or a light snack 1-2 hours before. Make sure you are well hydrated before class as I try to discourage drinking water whilst practicing.

 

Why is drinking water discouraged in a Yoga class?

To keep the body warm on the inside. If you drink cold water you are cooling down your inner heat disrupting the flow of energy (prana) and the flow of your yoga practice. It can also be disruptive to those around you and takes the mind away from that meditative state which we aim to achieve whilst practicing, disturbing our equanimity.

Private Group Sessions

I teach small groups of 4 in my home studio in North London and the residents of Trent Park Berkeley Homes. These small classes are suited to those who prefer to practice in a smaller group or maybe you want to set up a class with a few friends/family.  Contact me for availability.

One to One Sessions

Maybe you are a beginner who wants to try a few sessions before joining a group class or an intermediate practitioner wanting a session to suit your needs.  These classes can be in the comfort of your own home or at my home studio. Contact me for availability
